The Linton Kwesi Johnson 'Live In Paris' DVD Competition

CLOSED. Winners: Dee Marshall (North London), Kay (North-West London), and Tom Terrell (Newark - he gets his prize, but we've changed the rules - compos are now or UK residents only)

STOP PRESS: Competition closing date extended to December 9 2004

We've also got three copies of LKJ Records' 'Live In Paris' DVD, which commemorates the 25th anniversary concert in France by UK's leading dub poet (just teasing you LKJ - he doesn't really like the term 'dub poet'). Bassist and musical director Dennis Bovell leads the band through some tight reggae grooves over which Linton Kwesi Johnson recites his socio-political poetry. If you haven't seen him live, this is certainly the next best thing. All the best known titles, such as ‘Sonny’s Lettah’, ‘Reggae Fi Peach’, and ‘Dread Beat An Blood’, are present. Nuff said.

Ah, to be in with a chance to win a copy, just tell us the name of LKJ’s band leader and bassist. Answer to editor@britishblackmusic.com subject: LKJ Live! by December 9.
