BMC
Disciple
From
Autumn 2004, the BMC programmes will be workshop-based (it's not about
numbers - it's about strength of interest and commitment). This means
more focused meetings, with specific outcomes expected at the end of
each session.
In
order that our meetings serve as more than just talking shops, the
concept of BMC Disciples has been proposed. They are the participants
that will commit to action/follow through a specific idea, suggestion,
or a task that will either benefit the BMC, fellow participants or black
music in general. This can be any of the following:
- Commit
to publicise a BMC activity/event
- Commit
to bring one or more people to the next BMC activity/event
- Commit
to contact a specific person or organisation on behalf on the BMC or
a participant
- Commit
to take forward a specific outcome or suggestion
- Commit
to feedback a specific information to the BMC or participant(s)
- Commit
to volunteer, provide time or specialised knowledge for the benefit
of the BMC or participant(s)
- Commit
to provide the BMC or participant(s) with a specific resource
