LifeFM.org.uk is community radio station that broadcasts via the
internet: www.lifefm.org.uk
from the north-west London inner-city area known as Stonebridge. After
broadcasting annually on the FM bandwidth with a Restricted
Service Licence, the station has been awarded a 5 year community radio
licence by Ofcom to broadcast on FM around north-west London.
The Mixed Bag Show/businessofmusic goes out Wednesdays 2-4pm
GMT. The
format follows BBM/BMC founder Kwaku's professional interests - a) the
music policy covers any form of black music, from African, gospel,
reggae, hip-hop, R&B, jazz, blues, grime/UKG, funk, to rock; old,
new, or pre-release; plus there's usually a bias towards British music,
and b) the talks element covers music industry information and
discussion, highlights from the trades, plus community
discussions with BTWSC co-ordinator Ms Serwah usually adding her
impassioned socio-political views, and as a barrister, the odd legal
views.
You are welcome to phone in any time we're on air to make a
dedication or talk about almost any issue. The studio phone number is
020 8965 1717. When convenient, we do have guests in our tiny studio.
We have no playlist - we play what we fancy, and though it can
sometimes seem haphazard, there is usually a thread or link, which we
often elucidate upon. You're welcome to send your promos or releases,
provided they do NOT attract Parental Advisory warning. The station has
a no-swearing policy.
