The Sisters Of Soul Competition

CLOSED

In line with the female debate topic, we've got three copies of the Castle compilation 'The Sisters Of Soul'. It contains seriously soulful tracks. it's very anorak-ey in the sense that though there are some well known names like Shirley Brown, Freda Payne, The Honeycones, PP Arnold, Carrie Lucas, plus an opener and closer by Aretha Franklin, there is not a single hit here. If you want to experience the joys and pain of love and relationships from a female perspective, this is the album! The comp is open to only women (yes, we know some men can try passing themselves off as women, but please leave it out!).

You've got up to midnight Monday March 22 2004 to enter. Just answer this simple question: Which record label was Aretha Franklin signed to before going on to spectacular success on Atlantic in the 1960s? Click to email answer: editor@britishblackmusic.com
